I qualified in 1989 from Liverpool University achieving a lifetime ambition to become a vet. After a period in mixed practice in Yorkshire I came to Atherton. I became a partner in the practice and subsequently owner. In 2012 I had the opportunity to relocate to the current premises and design the practice as it is now which was a fantastic opportunity and challenge and was a pinnacle to my career. The practice has grown to employ 6 vets, 9 nurses and 5 admin staff.
I particularly enjoy the variety of cases that general practice provides but especially dealing with older pets and being able to improve the quality of their lives as they age.
I have 2 German Shepherds and a cat (who rules the roost) and most of my spare time is taken up looking after them but I am also a qualified barista and wine buff which means I have an excuse to drink coffee and wine all in the name of research all whilst caring for my Bonsai.
